I recently watched a movie and by recently I mean I just switched off my Netflix and have the movie's tracks playing right now,

As much as it would seem like this, can be a review of a movie, it's not.
But actually it's a trigger which got me thinking,
Right now I want to talk about a bridge between my revelation and something which we were taught in a stuffy classroom stashed away in Jaipur.
Stay with me, because I am about to get a little factual.
Anotonio Gramsci, I am not sure if that rings a bell in anyone's ear right now, but in middle of the Marxism ideology he proposed or rather stated that,
Our ideologies and thinking are all hegemonic in nature.
So one day a fool woke up, mind you; a fool with some sort of leadership, stated a specific activity which had to be followed to an extent where it has turned out to be common sense.
If that did not do very good job of explaining let me follow that up with an example,
A Hippie,
When you hear that, what kind of image runs through your head?
I am almost certain it's a negative notion, and if I may ask,why is that?
Let me help you out here, we have been brainwashed, by the little things around us which have always decided the right and the wrongs for us to such an extent, where if someone has the courage to defy it (subculture) we tend to banish this set of people.
Being an Indian, let me give you a much relatable example. (a section of the society)
So,we have a fixed pattern. We are brought into this world, study the same stagnant set of syllabus, do your grad, post grad etc, and then get married and have kids of our own and repeat the cycle.
Now, let me give you something to think about;
If right now at this moment, I held a very influential position in the society and I had the masses in my back pocket, I can wake up tomorrow and eradicate the entire system, by saying, its unnecessary to go about like this.
We should rather form sectors (agriculture, construction) where we can self sustain each other without any discrimination. Where children will learn these skills on what they can adapt and prosper in and continue henceforth.
Basically, my point here, if this hypothetical situation comes through, after a few generations if someone mentions to a child about how we are currently living, the child would laugh it off and say that is absurd and this is the ideal way to live and this is the right path.
But again, this is a hypothetical situation where I have not taken factors like these into consideration,
People are not gullible anymore,
There will always be a sector which opposes this idea etc.
Before I ramble any more further, I want to end this by saying this ideology does not present you with or is stating anything on the lines of right and wrong.
It is a way of showing you that this is how we live and everything which we thought is a part of our individuality is all bogus.
Moreover, to have the audacity to think that we are on the right track to having a fulfilling life. So, let me ask you a question, on whose basis are we on the right track? I do not see a pot of gold waiting for us if we do this the right way(rather in a pre-decided way)
I also feel it's unfair to people who do not deserve to have these constraints.
People should have the liberty to be doing whatever they wish and what works for them without being judged and help them sleep like a baby at night.
Coming back to this trigger of mine, (stop reading if you will watch the movie)
All these thoughts came rushing back to me when the characters against the preset notion decided to record their album on the streets rather than a soundproof room with all the equipment.
Also, instead of going through with the record label to launch their album (who would take 9$ from the earnings of a unit which was 10$) they just went ahead and uploaded their music up for only a dollar.
Thank you for reading! if you managed to get through these random chain of thoughts.
Always up to talk about this in more detail!
